Accommodations
Hotel Copernicus is located in renaissance era townhouses that were once visited by astronomer Nicolas Copernicus. The hotel offers 29 distinctive and unique room options, catering to the needs and desires of every guest. Standard Rooms offer a cozy retreat, perfect for solo travelers or couples seeking a historical getaway. For a touch of luxury, the Deluxe Suites offer historical 16th century frescos and period furniture fitting of such a historical hotel.
Our standard double room was located on the top (3rd) floor and featured a king sized bed and was well sized for a historical hotel in Europe. The décor combined the historical feel of the hotel with modern comforts.
The bathroom, while on the smaller side, was well appointed with travertine and marble and was stocked with L'Occitane bath amenities.
Hotel Amenities and Service
Despite only having 29 rooms, Hotel Copernicus offers a L’Occitane spa which offers massages, facials, and other treatments. Our favorite feature of the hotel was the underground pool and sauna area. It was a great place to relax and was one of the coolest hotel pools we have ever seen. In the warmer months, the top floor of the hotel has a nice outdoor area with good views of the surrounding old town area.
Service at the hotel was top notch and staff members went out of their way to make sure that we had everything that we needed in order to have the best stay possible.

Dining
Dining is a highlight at Hotel Copernicus. A buffet breakfast is served daily in the hotels atrium and can be included with your stay if desired. The hotel’s main restaurant is a intimate fine dining experience that is open for lunch and dinner. A multi-course tasting menu presents a modern take on Polish and European food and is one of the best in Krakow. A cozy bar off the main atrium serves craft cocktails and rounds out the offerings. If you prefer to eat outside of the hotel, there are countless great restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk of the hotel.

Location
Located between the main square and Wawel Castle, all of the main tourist sites are just a short walk away. You can wander through ancient cobblestone streets, marvel at breathtaking architecture, or simply lose yourself in the tapestry of the city's vibrant atmosphere. Driving in the old town can be difficult so taking a taxi is recommended. If you have extra time in Krakow, a half day trip to the Wieliczka Salt Mine is highly recommended.
